ABOUT SISTERS OF THE SPIRIT

Welcome to Sisters of the Spirit Global Alliance (SOS), a community founded by Dr. Maxine Ruddock, a licensed psychologist and passionate champion for black women thriving. Inspired by her own transformative experiences and the unwavering support of her two best friends, Dr. Ruddock established SOS with a mission to redefine the narrative of black women's relationships, particularly in the entrepreneurial space.

Meet Dr Max

Dr. Maxine Ruddock, the driving force behind SOS, has dedicated her career to empowering black women to realize their created potential. Through her work with black women, Dr Ruddock observed a disturbing trend of black women developing competitive and conflictual relationships with each other instead of supportive and nurturing ones. In addition, many of these black women shared stories of betrayal by other black women and expressed their intention to maintain an emotionally safe distance from female friendships. Unfortunately, they had decided to avoid one of the most important relationships of their lives.

Dr. Ruddock also noticed that many black women business owners practiced in isolation and lacked the knowledge, resources, and professional and personal support needed to grow their businesses to the level they envisioned. Unfortunately, even those black women who were part of business support groups found them to be impersonal and lacking in the close intimate support that these black women craved.

We are driven by the conviction that when a woman walks in her divine path, she is unstoppable. Our values are not mere marketing rhetoric; they form the bedrock of our code of conduct, reminding us to remain uncompromisingly excellent in serving and guiding black women entrepreneurs.

OUR VISION

Sisters Of the Spirit Global Alliance envisions a world where black women entrepreneurs come together in an environment that provides the tools and support needed for personal and professional growth. Beyond being a community, SOS is a movement dedicated to nurturing successful, world-changing black women business owners who are confident in their divine gifts, contributing to the betterment of their families, local communities, and the world.

SERVANT LEADERS

We are dedicated to the development of servant leaders. However, we recognize the hardships and unselfish nature of true leadership along with the frailty of human nature. We believe that true leadership is not about self-glorification and is not self-serving. Instead, a true leader knows that when she accepts the role of caring for and leading others this is a weighty mantel. We believe that true leaders. Having counted the cost. often run from not toward the mantel of leadership. Because we understand the multiple sacrifices and strength and faith required of leaders, we’ve taken steps to nurture and support servant leaders and to provide them with the resources necessary to thrive.
